Forrest came to WCR in May 2011 from a loving family who worked to rehabilitate him through two injuries to a full recovery. While he was not able to return to his former level of activity, his abilities and personality make a great combination to work in a therapeutic riding program. Forrest has a love for people and enjoys being in the center of conversations. He has a willing heart to work diligently at his job to help the children in the program. Because he has a curious nature, he may also carry a ring or toy in his mouth while the kids on his back are doing their activities! He loves attention from both kids and adults, and is always willing to accept a treat (or two or more!). When he is not working with the children, he enjoys grazing in the grass, playing with his pasture friends, and going on trail rides with Jennifer.

A special “thank you” to the Simpson Family for sharing this wonderful horse with WCR, we will be forever grateful to have him!

Over the course of a year, the cost of feed, wood shavings, standard veterinary care, and other expenses adds up to over $1,500 per horse. We therefore invite you to make a tax-deductible donation towards the care of this amazing therapy horse!
